Oleta F. Tew Baughman, age 94, of Fairview Twp., formerly of Waterford, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015. She was born in Slocomb, Alabama on February 1, 1921 the daughter of the late Harvey and Martha Butler Tew.
Oleta was a former member of First Baptist Church of Erie. She loved her family, African Violets, crocheting, quilting, and flower gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur William Baughman in 1986, one infant daughter Phyllis, one grandson Brian Douglas Welch, three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by four daughters: Marjorie Frazier (Bobby) of Clayton, NC, Carol Welch (Craig) of Fairview, Susan Myers (Bruce) of Erie, Martha Lynne Baughman of Edinboro, three sons: William Baughman (Christine) of Summit Twp., David Baughman (Bettie) of Waterford, Paul Baughman (Kathy Shumac) of State College, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment Erie County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Manor, Activity Fund, 900 Manchester Rd., Fairview, PA 16415.
