Obituary of Harley L. Smith

Harley L. Smith, age 82, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Fairview Manor. Harley was born in Girard, PA on July 16, 1933, the son of the late Merrill and Nellie Babbitt Smith. He was a graduate of Girard High School and served in the US Navy/Naval Reserves as a Seabee. He was employed at AO Smith until his retirement. Harley enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his sons. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Samantha Smith, one brother, Elton Smith and two step sisters; Winnie and Pat. He is survived by two sons; Gary Smith (Kathy) of Millcreek Twp., David Basak-Smith (Molly) of CT, three grandsons: Ron, Sean, Raja Basak-Smith, and his former wife Marjorie Smith of Millcreek Twp. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
