Shirley I. Blum Magill Shirley I. Blum Magill, age 94, of Erie, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Millcreek Community Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Erie on July 19, 1929, the daughter of George and Kathryn Curry Banister. Shirley was a professional singer and performed many shows at the Erie Maennerchor Club with the Tune Toppers. She enjoyed the Lawrence Welk Show on TV. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Magill in 2017, one sister Barbara Wilkinson, and two brothers; Geral Blum and James Banister. She is survived by one daughter Carolyn Ganoe (Kevin) of Herkimer, NY, one son Patrick Magill of Erie, two granddaughters; Kelcie Shively (Edward), Corey McKay (Kalani), two great-granddaughters; Paityn and Parker Shively, one brother Ronald Banister of Columbia, SC, and several nieces and nephews. Private arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sight Center of NW PA, 2545 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
