Betty L. Parker 03/15/39-04/24/24 Betty L. Parker, age 85, of Lake City, PA, formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away at UPMC-Hamot, Erie, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 15, 1939 at Jamestown WCA Hospital to the late Howard and Dorothy Housler. Betty married James LaRue Parker on June 30, 1955 and they resided in Jamestown NY for most of their lives. She enjoyed traveling, camping, listening and dancing to her husband’s bands, boating, waterskiing, bowling, motorcycles, knitting, and crocheting. Betty was employed for many years as a decorator for Maddox Table Co. Betty moved to Erie, PA in 2017 to be near her daughter Christine Parker Hill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James LaRue Parker, three sisters; Gloria Moore, Doris Crowell, and Annie Zimmerman. She is survived by her daughter Christine Parker Hill and her fiancé Robert Kreider of Fairview, PA, two grandsons; Michael Hill (Becky), Matthew Hill (fiancé Heather), four great-grandsons: Logan, Dylan, Owen, and Colin Hill, one great-granddaughter Kendall Hill, all from Fairview, PA, one brother Paul Housler and one sister Donna Cohill. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family. Private arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA.
